Day 2 - Foynes Flying Boat Museum

Head west first and stop at the popular Foynes flying boat museum. Discover the era of transatlantic passenger flights and the significant part played by this village on the west coast of Ireland,the invention of the Irish coffee and the maritime history of the majestic River Shannon.

 From The village follow the beautiful Coastal road for 15 minutes to Glin where you can visit Glin castle home for 800 years to the Fitzgerald family and one of the finest examples of Norman castle structures in Ireland.

Allow 60 Minutes

A further 30 minutes along the road you will find yourself in the beautiful beachside town of Ballybunion with its blue flag beaches where you can enjoy miles of sandy beaches,rocky headlands,high cliffs,caves you can explore at low tide a picture perfect castle and sand dunes.

This visit to the beach can encompass the whole day if you wish.
